This is a special ode to the South Park trees in San Francisco. South Park creates a serene small green haven from the bustling city nested between 2nd and 3rd Street in SOMA.
South Park's new $3.5 million renovation plan calls for "widened concrete pathways, large open meadows, plazas, bulb-out sidewalk extensions, low concrete retaining walls with benches, and raised grass platforms for sitting or picnicking. Trees in poor condition would be replaced and new irrigation and lights installed. A single kids’ play area would replace the two dilapidated ones."
